Our fishing year is now up and running.

This year (2022) we will start in March & April with the first fly hatch – the buzzers, or as the Irish call them ‘duck fly’. This is because the ducklings hatching is timed to cash in on this bounty, which they love to eat. Venues will be the large reservoirs and still waters where the overwintered large resident trout also break their fast by feasting on these insects. The spring salmon will be running in in Scotland’s rivers and we’ll be there to take advantage of that too. This is also prime time to miss the mosquitos and fish the tropical flats in Belize, Mexico, Cuba and Guatamala (2023).
May & June is peak time on the Chalk Streams and marked by hatches of Hawthorn, Alder, Olives and Grannom, not to mention the Mayfly and ‘duffer’s fortnight’. We shall be guiding on the Hampshire Test and Kentish Gt. Stour for free rising Trout taking carefully presented dry flies. A wonderful test of skill and accuracy for the afficionados.
July & August is an excellent time to go salmon fishing and venues like Scotland , Iceland (2023) and British Columbia offer anglers the chance of a trip of a lifetime experience in spectacular settings. We are booking NOW for 23 – 30th July and 30th July – 6th August at Kitimat on the Skeena, Kitimat, Kalum and coastal rivers system off the Douglas Channel. Hurry if want details of how to join the party as it is limited to 6 rods per week.
September & October fall fishing in all the autumnal splendour of the season for Steelhead and Coho salmon in Canada, dry fly and fry feeding trout in the UK and Atlantic Salmon in Scotland will be on offer.
October & November sees the large Tarpon migrating in the Caribbean and the back end run of salmon in Scotland. We will also be fishing the rivers and Stillwater’s for Pike on the fly as well.
December & January – Closed
2023 we are booking now for Feb, Mar, Apr. to warmer climes in Belize , salt water fly fishing for bone, permit, tarpon and snook. Guatamala for saifish on the fly. Jun,Jul salmon and char fishing in Iceland.
