Back in the spring after lockdown restrictions were lifted and we were out fishing but observing the rules I was doing a lot of 1:2:1 guiding on the Gt. Stour chalk stream. I was looking back through the records in search of Sea Trout pictures and found this video shot by my friend with his GoPro.

One of the good things to come out of the lockdown's ban on angling here in the UK has been the rallying of the sport to speak with one voice and the emergence of an effective national angling representative body in the Angling Trust. When we go back fishing we will go back stronger than ever before.

Never a truer word

We are all desperate to get back fishing again and I for one have watched the season trickling by with increasing frustration but it will end and if we are sensible that will come to pass. Please have a look at the Angling Trust C19 hub where Jamie Cook gives an very useful and encouraging update .

Like every other fishing business we are locked down. Fishing in UK is currently not allowed. The only time anglers need to come into contact with other people is when they go into a tackle shop or lodge and in competitive matches. Why angling is banned but we can go shopping,walking,running and cycling is beyond me. Come on Angling Trust and EA fight fishing's corner and get some common sense to prevail here.
