Friends Day at Compton on the river Test 19th September / Fishing in a Hurricane !!

The weather hasn’t been very kind to us this year. Flooding during Mayfly. Drought and heatwaves when the Grilse were supposed to run. So we shouldn’t have been surprised when a days gentle upstream dry fly fishing on the beautiful river Test was met with 40+mph winds and thunderstorms.Despite it all this band kept smiling and made a very enjoyable day of it.They even caught a few very nice trout despite the wind ,tangles and weather.
